How to Choose Adults BMX Bike:
1. Frame Material:
All BMX bikes should have strong and lightweight frames. They are mostly made with high-tensile carbon steel or aluminum. Aluminum-framed BMX bikes are much lighter than alloy steel models.
2. Top Tube Length:
The length of the top tube of a BMX bike is based on the height of adult riders and the types of rides. If you are tall, you should choose a long tube length to easily perform stunts and tricks. Some BMX bikes have various top tube lengths, but we prefer a 20″ to 22″ tall tube for all height riders.
3. Size of Wheels:
All adults are different in body weight, height, and age. Therefore, it is very important to measure your boy’s height and then choose the correct wheel size according to the recommended size chart provided by the manufacturer.
4. Number of Gears:
Most BMX bikes come in single, three, and seven gears. Honestly, if you want to perform park stunts and tricks, then I would never prefer a multi-gear BMX. A single-speed BMX will give you maximum power output compared to three or seven-speed models.
5. Adjustable Seat:
Big-size BMX bikes often have fixed-seat posts that are sufficient for a short period of time. If you plan to use your bike for a long time, we suggest you choose an adjustable seat for your growing adults.
6. Rotatable Handlebar:
Almost all BMX bikes have rotatable handlebars. Some handles have limited rotation, while some give complete 360-degree rotation. Ensure the freestyle rotor is attached to the handlebar stem for re-confirmation.
